About Us.
Hi, I'm Alex.
I've always been a lover of hospitality, people and seeing people smile.
Being Italian, good food, family and a home that's always open, welcoming and filled with love and laughter are the memories I treasure most from my childhood. There was always food cooking, coffees being poured and desserts being baked - and there was always someone coming through the front door to feed.
Alongside running a busy home & keeping everyone fed, my mum also ran a small home based catering business, offering her wonderful food to the masses for weddings, funerals & parties.
My parents were the King and Queen of hospitality and they have had a huge influence in how I do things today.
It was always a dream from a young age to run my own little slice of Italian hospitality and after a long legal career in London and becoming a mum, I decided it was time to go for it.
Having worked in hospitality previously and with the Italian hospitable ways I learnt growing up, I thought long and hard about what that would look like. I sat for hours on end researching, planning and putting things into place to create the unique feel that is Biagio's today.
Our family are from both the North & South of Italy and if you've ever visited, you'll know just how beautiful it really is.
Not just the scenery but the food and people too.
When I created Biagio's I had a vision to bring the warm Italian ways into everything we do.
In 2022, I bought a horsebox.
My partner, Tony, worked tirelessly to help convert our beautiful horsebox and alongside my Dad, they bought it to life.
And thats where it began...
We ran our horsebox and began to grow through the seasons, whilst it allowed us to begin our journey it certainly wasn't our final destination.
We began offering catering outside of our horsebox and got to work on the search for the perfect premises.
We sold our beloved horsebox in August 2023, Tony left his 20+ year career in the RAF & MOD and the big dream came to life.
We found the perfect premises, worked around the clock to renovate and bring the vision to fruition and the doors to our beautiful tea room in East Rudham, Kings Lynn, Norfolk opened in September 2023.
Alongside running our busy Tea Room, we still offer our outside catering.
So enough about us, but I hope it's given you some background on where it all began & where the dream grew from..
And a promise from me to each of our past and future customers & clients - we will Always give our all in everything we do and we will always work with excitement, passion and precision to only ever give you The Best.
Oh...and one last thing before I go... the name.
You're probably wondering why Biagio's?
When it's your surname, it seemed a shame to let it go to waste.
